The first structural representative solved (PDB Id: TOPSAN:1vkd) was subject to FATCAT structural similarity search that indicated similarity to SCOP (v. 1.73) domain SCOP:d1uypa2 classified as 5-bladed beta-propeller fold. Profile-profile methods confirm remote homology between this family and superfamily of Arabinanase/levansucrase/invertase; 5-bladed beta-propeller fold. Based on remote homology confirmed by the structure one can hypothesize that this family is probably involved in sugar binding or nucleotide hydrolysis
