    Pfam family PFAM:PF04273 {Putative phosphatase (DUF442) } with 398 members in NR database and additional 275 members in the metagenomic datasets is represented in Bacteria. The first structural representative solved (PDB Id: TOPSAN:2f46) was subject to FATCAT structural similarity search that indicated similarity to SCOP (v. 1.73) domain SCOP:d1ohea2 classified as Phosphotyrosine protein - phosphatases II fold. Profile-profile methods confirm remote homology between this family and superfamily of (Phosphotyrosine protein) phosphatases II; fold of the same name. Based on remote homology confirmed by the structure one can hypothesize that this family is probably protein phosphatase.
