The first structural representative solved (PDB Id: TOPSAN:2hng) was subject to FATCAT structural similarity search that indicated similarity to SCOP (v. 1.73) domain SCOP:d1qyna_ classified as Bacterial protein-export protein secb fold. However, no sequence similarity to this fold has been detected. Based on fold one can hypothesize that this family is may be involved in protein export
