The first structural representative solved (PDB Id: TOPSAN:2oa4) was subject to FATCAT structural similarity search that indicated similarity to SCOP (v. 1.73) domain SCOP:d1lvaa3 classified as DNA/RNA-binding 3-helical bundle fold. Profile-profile methods confirm remote homology between this family and superfamily of Homeodomain-like; DNA/RNA-binding 3-helical bundle fold. Based on remote homology confirmed by the structure one can hypothesize that this family is DNA-binding
