    Pfam family PFAM:PF08848 {Domain of unknown function (DUF1818) } with 145 members in NR database and additional 118 members in the metagenomic datasets is represented in Bacteria. The first structural representative solved (PDB Id: TOPSAN:2it9) was subject to FATCAT structural similarity search that indicated similarity to SCOP (v. 1.73) domain SCOP:d2giab1 classified as Ssdna-binding transcriptional regulator domain fold. However, no sequence similarity to this fold has been detected. Based on fold one can hypothesize that this family is possibly transcriptional regulator
