    Summary

    Pfam family PFAM:PF09148 {Domain of unknown function (DUF1934)} with 123 members in NR database and additional 2 members in the metagenomic datasets is represented in Bacteria. The first structural representative solved (PDB Id: TOPSAN:1r0u) was subject to FATCAT structural similarity search that indicated similarity to SCOP (v. 1.73) domain SCOP:d1ifca_ classified as Lipocalins fold. However, no sequence similarity to this fold has been detected. Based on fold one can hypothesize that this family is probably binds hydrophobic ligands
