    Pfam family PFAM:PF09209 {Domain of unknown function (DUF1956) } with 113 members in NR database and additional 26 members in the metagenomic datasets is represented in Bacteria. The first structural representative solved (PDB Id: TOPSAN:1t33) was subject to FATCAT structural similarity search that indicated similarity to SCOP (v. 1.73) domain SCOP:d1jt6a2 classified as Two domains: DNA/RNA-binding 3-helical bundle and Tetracyclin repressor-like, C-terminal domain fold. Profile-profile methods confirm remote homology between this family and superfamily of Tetracyclin repressor-like, C-terminal domain; fold of the same name. Based on remote homology confirmed by the structure one can hypothesize that this family is probably binds nucleic acids
