    Summary

    Metazoa-specific version of the PB1-type Beta grasp domains of the eukaryotic ubiquitin-like clade that mediates protein-protein interactions (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17605815). It is always found at the N-termini of proteins and has been found to be required for oligomerization of proteins (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17476308?dopt=Abstract). It  is found in conjunction with PDZ domains in the Par3 proteins and is required for its oligomerization.
