Analysis of its genomic neighborhood indicates a possible functional link (score 0.9) with PA0794, a putative aconitate hydratase. SCOP classifies 2h9f structure in the alpha+beta class, diaminopimelate epimerase-like superfamily. DALI top hit is with the mehtylaconitate isomerase 2pwo and 2pvz (Z=47; 75% seq.id.).

    According to sequence (~80% id with YP_001187576) and structural (rmsd 2.4 Å over 256 residues with PDB id: 2pw0) similarity searches, NP_249484 protein is a methylaconitate isomerase [Ref].

     

    To do: check to see whether aconitate (bound to the enzyme in 2pw0 structure) can be docked onto 2h9f coordinates.
