    A sequence search at PFAM identifies NP_250297.1 to belong to the MG2 (PFAM:PF01835, macroglobulin) domain which is the domain of alpha-2-macroglobulin.

     Note from PFAM: This was added as a new family to Pfam PF12975 DUF3859. Seems to be a domain found associated within some LRR proteins and possibly at the C-terminus of a pentapeptide repeat protein. If you decide to publish it I might be able to push the sequence analysis a bit further.

    The oligomeric state of the protein as analyzed by the PISA server is a monomer, although there are two copies of the protein present in the crystallographic asymmetric unit, shown below.
