    Protein Summary

    Pfam update: This sequence hits our family:HpcH_HpaI (PFAM:PF03328) , a family of 2,4-dihydroxyhept-2-ene-1,7-dioic acid aldolase and 4-hydroxy-2-oxovalerate aldolases. There are other structures.

    Note that top hits obtained for this protein by performing sequence and structural analysis are with HpcH/HpaI aldolase/citrate lyase family. However, it showed also similarities with the Malate_synthase family in both types of analysis.

    Sequence analysis: FFAS, against pfam, Top score HpcH/HpaI aldolase/citrate lyase family (PF03328, score -76.200); 2nd hit Malate synthase  (PF01274, score -46.100). HHPRED, against pfam, top hit HpcH_HpaI (PF03328 Prob 100.0, Evalue 1.4E-45, P-value 0), 2nd hit Malate_synthase (PF01274, Prob 99.8, E-value 2.6E-18, P-value 2.2E-22).
